Enduring Powers of Attorney
If you were suddenly incapacitated, who would have the legal right to look after your financial affairs? An Enduring Power of Attorney takes away that confusion and uncertainty. Without an Enduring Power of Attorney, someone would have to make a time-consuming and expensive court application in order to look after your affairs. Personal Care Directive
If you were suddenly incapacitated, who would have the legal right to look after you and make health care decisions on your behalf? A Personal Care Directive allows you to make that decision ahead of time and ensure that your wishes are respected. Many hospitals and long-term care residences are now asking people to complete these documents in advance. This document often goes hand in hand with an Enduring Power of Attorney and we would be pleased to answer your questions regarding both services.
Class Action Lawsuits
Our firm is currently leading a class action lawsuit against the Federal, Provincial and Territorial Governments to allow Hepatitis C victims "outside the 1986-1990 window period" access to the same benefits as those individuals "inside the window period".
